ANATOMY OF AN ABBEY KITCHEN

Successful kitchen remodels require a great deal of thought, planning, and strategizing. Luckily for our clients, Abbey Design and Remodel has perfected this process with over 30 years of experience. Every kitchen remodel is unique, and our specialized approach ensures every need for your specific project is met with a customized design choice made just for you. ANATOMY OF AN ABBEY KITCHEN blog series breaks down all of the most important features that go into producing an exceptional Abbey kitchen transformation!

This client loved to cook and entertain and wanted a bright, open kitchen for hosting parties. The original space was split up into two, much smaller rooms so the Abbey Team opened it up into one large one. This client also requested that the remodel allow them more storage space, ample countertop space for cooking and entertaining, updated cabinetry, and overall a more modern and polished look.

Scope of work: The Abbey Team gave this client’s kitchen a complete makeover fully equipped with brand new appliances, flooring, cabinetry, etc. Our designers took advantage of the spatial opportunities and converted the two crowded rooms into one grand kitchen with a more ideal layout that provides better natural light and increased functionality!

Cabinets: We love using Koch Cabinet’s high quality, American-made cabinetry in our projects. We installed Koch Cabinets in Fairway and Shaker Edge for a sophisticated, luxurious appearance. The gray-blue paint on the islands contrasting with the white surrounding cabinets is simple, modern and elegant!

Fixtures: Abbey installed unique pendant light fixtures from Progress lighting to hang over the center islands. The black and white fixtures match beautifully with cabinetry and create the perfect lighting to complement the natural sunlight.

Countertops: You can never have too much counter space. We used the gorgeous Raphael Stone quartz countertops from Dulles Granite for the perfect mix of practicality and luxury. The white color contrasts perfectly with the darker flooring and cabinetry and adds a pop of brightness. Quartz is high quality but low maintenance, which makes it a great choice for a busy at-home chef.

While each remodeling project is different based on the original space and the specific client, The Abbey Design + Remodel team is dedicated to satisfying your needs and exceeding your expectations. Let Abbey Design + Remodel make your dream home a reality. Call us to schedule a consultation today!
